Anyone can suggest adds and drops for the NBA fantasy fans out there, but few make those suggestions from the gut. We’ve also sprinkled in tons of helpful stats for all fantasy formats too. Because that’s the kind of fantasy help you deserve.

Trevor Ariza, HOU Shot 2-for-10 from the floor, and his hip flexor might still be bothering him. His FG% is news only in the sense that it’s not news. It’s been happening all year … and that’s the story. The story is how it’s been happening all year. He’s shooting 38 percent from the floor this season after never averaging worse than 41 percent. He’s shot better than his career 44 percent from the field in 12 of 53 games this season. So what’s Houston coach Rick Adelman to do, right? Ariza was given the keys to the Rocket’s ship this season.
This was suppoosed to be his season?
Maybe the newly acquired Kevin Martin should start. Dude, Speed Racer shot only 42 percent in 28 minutes on Suinday. Matter fact, although he’s a 45 percent career field-goal shooter, he’s only shooting 39 percent this season. Oh. Well then nevermind.
Here are others who are probably shooting better than 39 percent from the floor because … well, because it would be difficult to shoot much worse.
.
J.J. Hickson, CLE He’s averaging five points and 4.5 rebounds in his last two games. Whose stock has plummeted since Antawn Jamison joined the Cavs? J.J. Hickson’s stock has plummeted since Antawn Jamison joined the Cavs. Yes it did. Yes it did. Also, Antawn Jamison’s stock has plummeted since Antawn Jamison joined the Cavs. Burn.
Mo Williams, CLE In his three games back from injury, Mo’s shooting 29 percent and distributing only 2.3 assists per game. The Quicken Loans Arena used to play the “Godfather” theme each time Williams sank a three. Now they play Elvis’ “I Got Lucky.”
Kendrick Perkins, BOS Fourteen points, four rebas. Perk’s suffering from Chief Bromden-itis in his last 15 games. He won’t jump. He’s grabbed 10+ rebounds just twice in his last 10 games, hit double-digit points just thrice in the last 10 and has shot 50 percent or better in just half of his last 10.
Marquis Daniels, BOS Daniels has averaged 9 pts/ 3 rbds/ 2 asts in his six-game return after missing two months of action. And although these averages are mostly not-for-rostering as he’s only playing 18-19 minutes per contest, his Celtics team is old and dinged up. If his 18 minutes gets bumped up to 30, we’re suddenly looking at a 15/5/4 type of player instead of one that has nothing noteworthy about him other than his resemblance to Randall Boggs.
Nate Robinson, BOS DNP. Flu-like symptoms. What’s the difference between the flu and flu-like symptoms? Isn’t the flu just a collection of symptoms that join together to make the flu? Dude’s got the flu. Just say it. It’s got a duck-like beak and quacks using duck-like tones and waddles in a fashion eerily similar to a duck-like creature. We’re unwilling to speculate any further than that.
J.R. Smith, DEN Earl Smith III sank five threes on Sunday for the fifth time this season. He had 5+ threes in twice as many games last season, but five of those 10 games came in March and April. Jrue story.
Devin Harris, NJ Season-high eight turnovers in the second-most minutes he’s played all season (40:53). On the plus side, Harris has found enough Nets able to score the ball to rack up double-digit assists in his last two games.
Tony Parker, SA DNP. He’s missed five of his last 10 with more DNPs on the way. C’est un long chemin à les éliminatoires.
Richard Hamilton, DET He led Detroit with 27 points despite going 0-for-5 from the arc. The last time Rip attempted at least five treys without making any was March 1, 2003. In that game, he scored 31 points. What the what!?!
Corey Maggette, GSW DNP. Should miss at least a couple of games due to his inability to “run or jump very much,” according to coach Don Nelson. That hasn’t stopped Andris Biedrins from playing. Zing!
Darren Collison, NO The turnovers are a problem. No denying it. That said D.C. ranks seventh in scoring (24 ppg) in his last six games (same as Chris Paul averaged in his last seven). In February Collison is averaging 21 pts / 4 rbds/ 9 asts. ROY frontrunner Tyreke Evans has averaged 17 pts/ 6 rbds/ 7 asts. How many games will Coillison have to play like this for him to be thrust into the top-rookie conversation?
Steve Nash, PHO He dished out 17 assists for the 33rd time in his career. Okay, okay. But his hockey team lost to our hockey team. They wouldn’t have if Nash had skated up.
Jason Richardson, PHO Ben Vereen had 26 points on Sunday. He had 27 points three games ago after scoring 26+ points in only three of the previous 50 games.
Joe Johnson, ATL 31 points. Quiet points. For a Quiet Man. “Now I want all of yous to cheer like Protestants.”
Stephen Curry, GSW 32 points, 9 rebounds. How’s his February going, you ask? Quit well, thank you. He’s averaging 23 pts/ 9 rbds/ 8 asts/ 2 stls and 2 3ptm in his last five games. And Brandon Jennings has officially left the ROY conversation.
Carlos Boozer, UTA Boozer had a career-high 23 rebounds last night. How’d you spend your Sunday?
Andrei Kirilenko, UTA Left in last night’s second-quarter with a spasming back. He won’t be back (eh?eh?) for a few games.
Deron Williams, UTA This was a very Deron Williams-y messy game. Huzzah for the 18 points and 12 assists, but every once in a while he’ll toss in five turnovers and 4-for-15 shooting just to mess with your mind.

Russell Westbrook, OKC Whoa! Look at that picture. Look at Westbrook’s face. Settle down, Russell Westbrook. You’re going to get the deuce. This is the Wolves. They haven’t guarded anyone in four seasons. They’re not going to start with you. Just put it in. Maintain full extension. You’re good. I applaud your concentration. I do. But be cool, okay? No one likes a player who isn’t cool. You’ve had a trip-dub before. Remember that? Act like this isn’t the second one in your career. Act like it’s the 30th. And do it quick, you’re embarrassing Durant.
