Fuzzy Math: Does A Pens/Steelers Combo Outweigh BucStink?

Pittsburgh Teams topper

My keyboard doesn’t have a “make living in Pittsburgh a bearable experience despite the” button, so you’ll just have to deal with the “>” sign. Anyone know the keyboard shortcut for that symbol?

The Steelers and Penguins combined for a .671 winning percentage this year (The Pens earned .604 percent of their possible points, while the 12-4 Steelers, if weighted like a baseball season would have gone 121-41, .747). The Pirates are 29-33 (.468), on pace for their 85th best season of all time. The Bucs haven’t finished a season over .500 since 1992. Hell, they’ve only finished above .650 twice in 128 years (1902, 1909).

So, um…honestly. Are two championships the cure for the summertime blues or was Eddie Cochran right? Perhaps you can also explain what is up with the color yellow over in Steel City.

*UPDATE* The Pirates took two out of three from the Tigers over the weekend in interleague play. Oh, the irony.
